These terrifyingly realistic sculptures of people are placed in uncompromising situations in the most convincing way that worried pedestrians are calling the police and ambulance service.

Mark Jenkins, an American innovative artist who worked as a web designer and saxophonist before he switched to street art, travels the world and places his unconventional artworks in busy areas. He says that his aim is to make people look up from their mobile phones and interact with the environment. He started his career as an installation and street artist by placing a sculpture in a dump in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to call attention to the children that were living in the streets.

He uses an unusual method to create his terrifyingly realistic sculptures. He uses box-sealing tapes to create the figure and wraps the figure in clothes to make it look realistic. He has been exploring this method of making art ever since he was a child. According to Mark Jenkins, he wants the people to question their surroundings about what is real and what is not.

He spends most of his time sculpting and creating installations that will disturb the observer’s senses. They push beyond the normal and challenge the observer to redefine his environment. The most disturbing part about Mark Jenkins’ sculptures is how similar they are to real-life possibilities.

Here are some pictures of the sculptures created by Mark Jenkins. Imagine walking around on the street and seeing one of them. These sculptures installed by Mark Jenkins in public places are sure to make observers scream and call for help.
